I caught the last 15 minutes of Picnic this morning and I'm looking right at that guy, you know, the big star, the one who was married to Stephanie Powers and died prematurely and ... I cannot remember his name!
This racking of stupid, stupid brain goes on for a while (I ID Arthur O'Connell instantly, though!) until the phone rings. I say 'hello' and William Holden's name comes to mind unbidden and luminous.
